Skye Edge Medical Centre
Building Link Design continued their successful long standing relationship with Admiral Construction on a Design/ Build project to construct a new 3-storey medical centre on a Brownfield site.
The new 3-storey building was constructed with a steel frame and holorib decking with reinforced in-situ concrete floors. The super structure comprised of brick cavity wall construction including cavity insulation and stainless steel ties and high level rendered panels. Normal finishes for a modern medical center were incorporated throughout ensuring full compliance with infection control requirements to all clinical areas. The external areas are fully landscaped; new drainage was installed together with the provision of a new car park, perimeter fencing and gates.
