Northern Racing College
In 2007 the Northern Racing College commissioned BLD to design a new visitor center which created shop facilities, interactive museum, exhibition center and first floor conference rooms along with kitchen facilities.
The building consist of a traditional construction method to the ground floor being built in blockwork however the first floor was to be constructed with more modern construction methods using timber frame and Trespa cladding.
The project was completed on time and within budget and was formally opened in 2008
Northern Racing College, one of two in Britain accredited by the British Horseracing Authority, for young people who want to become jockeys.
