Royds Green Farm

Building Link Design were instructed by the Client to undertake the refurbishment of the 17th Century grade II listed farm house, the renovation of a derelict cottage and the conversion of the onsite Barn complex into high quality residential properties at Royds Green Farm in Rothwell, Leeds.

The site had fallen into a state of disrepair and was in desperate need of restoration, working closely with the Client and Contractor, the team were able to deliver a number of superb dwellings situated in the pleasant rural location. The works were employed subsequent to the original planning approval that had been granted, BLD then worked closely with the Contractor and the Local Authority in order to detail the project which included highly sensitive alterations and an extension to the listed building.

The farm house and cottage were completed in 2015 and have been occupied ever since with the barn complex continuing to advance on site to provide five number dwellings; two of which were completed in 2015 and the remaining three are due for completion in 2016.
