Conversion of Grade II Listed Building into 11 High End Apartments

BLD have been commissioned to embark on an ambitious project located in the historic South Parade area of Doncaster in submitting planning permission and assisting with an innovative design process at the three storey grade II listed building.

Working closely with Planning and Conservation, a proposal for change of use has been granted so that the property can be converted from the previous Doncaster Council office space into eleven executive apartments.

The property has been unoccupied for five years and will be transformed from its current neglected condition, both internally and externally. Proposals include stripping out the 20th century fixtures and fittings previously used for offices and replacing these with an elegant interior design.

Building Link Design is working closely with the client, Yorkshire Investment Properties Limited, to return the former commercial office accommodation to its original state as high class residential use.

Denison House, in its former glory was owned by ‘Edmund Denison’ who was responsible for bringing the railway to Doncaster in the 1800s. By converting such a prestigious building it will preserve its original heritage, therefore contributing a positive benefit to its surrounding area and adding to the historic and cultural interest.

As the Primary RIBA Architects Practice in the Town Centre, Building Link Design are delighted to use their knowledge and experience to act as Designers and Agents for this exciting project currently underway.
